Filtering – The straining process of making wine. Firm – A descriptive term for a wine high in both acidity and tannins but still well balanced. Finish – After the wine leaves the mouth and travels down the throat. Flinty – A dry sensation of white wines that encompasses river rock and fresh steel yet still a relatively positive term. Fragrance – Another term for smell or bouquet. Free Run – The juice from freshly crushed grapes before it is pressed. Full – A term that refers to higher alcohol content with greater viscosity. |
