Frequently Asked Questions

Regional Cellars is an online based marketing company that focuses on the Australian wine market. Through the promotion of quality small wine producers we aim to help grow one of Australia’s best industries. This FAQ page is designed to answer some of the questions we are regularly asked. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for here, please contact us directly at Regional Cellars through this link.

Who can purchase wines from Regional Cellars?

Anyone over the age of 18 with some form of credit or direct debit card can buy wine from us.

What is the smallest amount of wine I can buy?

Depending on the winery the minimum size of an order could be either a case, six pack, three pack or single bottle. Most wineries don't do single bottle sales due to the costs of freight and the most popular and cost effective amount is 12 bottles (a case). The smallest amount currently available is a 6 pack (6 bottles of wine).

Do I need to be at home for my delivery?

Yes, someone over 18 needs to be home to sign for delivery of your wine. Due to liquor licensing laws we are unable to deliver or leave wines if no one is home. You may find it easier to have your wine delivered to a commercial business address. If no one is home the wineries courier will leave a card for you to contact them and arrange a suitable time for delivery. We are not able to deliver wine to post office boxes.

What are the delivery costs?

Delivery is calculated once you have completed your shopping. You may check the delivery cost at the time where you enter in your delivery address, you may still continue shopping from here and re-calculate delivery again at any time. We prefer to show delivery as a separate charge, as there really is no such thing as “free delivery” it has to either be built into the wine price or charged separately as we do. We feel this is the fairest method of charging for delivery.

When ordering multiple cases of wine from a single winery Regional Cellars imposes a discount on the delivery costs, this may not show up in the payment screen but will be applied to the final transcation.

Some wineries also offer delivery specials from time to time. These specials will also be applied to your final payment amount but may not be visible until after the transaction is put through the shopping cart.
